Steve Pennington MA Dip Arch(Cantab) RIBA

Since graduating from Cambridge in 1980, I have worked in both private practice and the public sector. I  started my career in the architects’ department at East Anglian Regional Health Authority where I worked on a variety of healthcare buildings ranging from small health centres to major district general hospitals. This experience has been put to good use in private practice thereafter where I have designed projects in both Primary and Secondary healthcare sectors.

I  entered private practice in 1984 in Cambridge and worked on residential, MOD, health, commercial, office and retail developments. Moving to Dorset in 1989 I formed QPArchitecture in early 1991 with Peter Wilkinson. The practice has always sought to work in many different areas and can point to private and public residential schemes, industrial and commercial as well as specialist scientific and healthcare developments.

The practice has grown steadily since then developing an enviable record and reputation for good quality design and a thorough understanding of building construction.

In my spare time I am a keen amateur artist preferring to work in oils, and a member of a local ageing rock band!
